Lugano, between lake and city.

Lugano is my base in Switzerland and the setting for this collection of eleven photographs. The journal brings lake views together with city details: cobblestones, colourful lanes, a fountain and the tracks climbing the hillside.

The lake from different perspectives

A wooden jetty leads the eye across Lake Lugano towards the mountain beyond. A waterfront scene adds boats and buildings, while an archway frames the lake from the shade. Along the promenade, branches and shadows become part of the view. The evening water offers another mood, with the shoreline receding between the mountains.

Looking closer on a city walk

The city photographs follow smaller details: a low view over cobblestones, café tables in a colourful lane, church steps and a stone fountain beneath a covered walkway. The funicular tracks draw a line uphill between walls and greenery. A separate mountain view catches snow above the rooftops, adding contrast to the brighter waterfront scenes.
